ANALISIS YURIDIS EMPIRIS : PERNIKAHAN PADA BULAN SURO DI KABUPATEN PONOROGO (SUATU KAJIAN HUKUM ADAT DAN ISLAM)

Abstract This study aims to find out in substance what is the formulation of the problem, namely the first Ponorogo people's perception of the taboo to marry in Suro Month, the second Traditional Law View Regarding the Abstinence of Marriage in Suro Month in Ponorogo Regency, and the third Islamic legal view on the taboo to marry in Suro month in Ponorogo Regency. Ponorogo Regency. The researcher took the title Juridical Empirical Analysis of Marriage in the Month of Suro in Ponorogo Regency (A Study of Customary and Islamic Law). The fundamental thing the researcher took the title was because there was a lot of debate on the side of customary law which prohibits marriage in the month of Suro and has been considered a tradition, while from the Islamic side there is no prohibition on marriage in the month of Suro. The researchers' efforts here are to conduct studies related to the formulation of the problem stated, here the researchers also do not invite to believe in the taboo on marriage in the month of Suro, but rather respect the Javanese traditional traditions. To support the data of this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach. In this approach, the researchers directly deal with the respondents to collect the required information data. Then after the information and data are collected, the researcher describes the data which is then processed in the discussion analysis stage. The results of the study are in the form of a study of the formulation of the problem from the point of view of customary law, which describes how the abstinence from marriage in the month of Suro can occur, and the opinion of the Islamic religion regarding the existence of this tradition
