PENGEMBANGAN PARIWISATA BERBASIS MASYARAKAT DI DESA BANARAN KECAMATAN GEGER KABUPATEN MADIUN (STUDI TENTANG PENGEMBANGAN PARIWISATA BANTARAN KANAL POYO)

ABSTRACT Good governance and tourism development are necessary if a country is to improve its economy, society, and environment. Community-based tourism development can make the tourism sector achieve optimal economic development. Strategies in development need to be carried out so that tourism does not experience a decline in visitors, on the other hand, the role of the government is also very much needed to help tourism development. Tourism development cannot be separated from community involvement and this is a challenge in itself. The reason is that it is not easy to invite people to participate in the world of tourism which is very different from what they do daily. The purpose of this study was to determine the tourism development strategy in the Poyo Canal Banaran, Banaran Village, and what is the role of the government in this tourism. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of this study show that tourism development carried out in Banaran Village shows that the development carried out involves the community both in terms of decision making and the realization of planning and evaluation, this Poyo Canal Bantaran tourism management provides direct and indirect benefits to the community. The role of the government in the development of tourism on the Poyo Canal Bank is to assist and provide direction and assist in management in the form of assisting in the form of a budget used for the development of the Poyo Canal Bank. The inhibiting factor for tourism development is that the manager has not received full assistance because it has not been included in the bumdes.
