Prijevod s komentarima s naglaskom na terminologiju

This thesis comprises five translations with commentary. Excerpts from three books were translated from English into Croatian (The Establishment and How They Get Away with It, Making Minds: What’s Wrong with Education and What Should We Do About It and Reclaiming Conversation: Power of Talk in a Digital Age), and two from Croatian into English (Ekološki otisak: kako je razvoj zgazio održivost and Iran u prezentu). The commentary primarily focused on translation problems in relation to terminology. The main translation problem was the translation of terms whose concepts are not lexicalised in the target language. Possible solutions and the reasoning behind the final solutions are discussed in the comments.Rad sadrži pet prijevoda s komentarima. Ulomci iz triju knjiga prevedeni su s engleskog na hrvatski (The Establishment and How They Get Away with It, Making Minds: What’s Wrong with Education and What Should We Do About It and Reclaiming Conversation: Power of Talk in a Digital Age), a s hrvatskog na engleski prevedeni su ulomci iz dviju knjiga (Ekološki otisak: kako je razvoj zgazio održivost and Iran u prezentu). Glavna tema komentara bili su prijevodni problemi povezani s terminologijom. Glavni je prijevodni problem bio prijevod termina čiji koncepti nisu leksikalizirani u ciljnom jeziku. U komentarima se raspravlja o mogućim rješenjima i razlozima odabira konačnih rješenja
