Prijevod s komentarima s naglaskom na terminologiju

This thesis comprises five translations with commentary. Excerpts from three books translated from English into Croatian (The Establishment and How They Get Away with It, Making Minds: What’s Wrong with Education and What Should We Do About It and Reclaiming Conversation: Power of Talk in a Digital Age), and two from Croatian into English (Ekološki otisak: kako je razvoj zgazio održivost and Iran u prezentu). The commentary mainly focused on problems in relation to terminology. The main issues related to terminology that were encountered during the translation of these texts were connected to the translation of culture-specific items and concepts specific to the English and Croatian language. The commentary aims to give a deeper insight into the translation choices that were made during the translation process.Ovaj rad sastoji se od pet prijevoda s popratnim komentarima. Ulomci iz triju knjiga prevedeni su s engleskog na hrvatski jezik (The Establishment and How They Get Away with It, Making Minds: What’s Wrong with Education and What Should We Do About It i Reclaiming Conversation: Power of Talk in a Digital Age), a s hrvatskog na engleski jezik prevedeni su ulomci iz dvaju knjiga (Ekološki otisak: kako je razvoj zgazio održivost i Iran u prezentu). Glavna tema komentara bili su problemi povezani s terminologijom. Glavni problemi povezani s terminologijom u prevedenim tekstovima bili su povezani s prijevodom kulturno obilježenih termina i koncepata u engleskom i hrvatskom jeziku.
