Prijevod s komentarima s naglaskom na terminologiju

This thesis comprises five translations with commentary. Excerpts from three books were translated from English into Croatian (The Establishment: And How They Get Away with It by Owen Jones, Making Minds. What's Wrong with Education – And What Should We Do about It by Paul Kelley and Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age by Sherry Turkle), and two from Croatian into English (Ekološki otisak: kako je razvoj zgazio održivost by Dražen Šimleša and Iran u prezentu by Ivan Đogić). The commentary primarily focused on various terminological issues occurring in different types of texts during their translation from English into Croatian and from Croatian into English. The commentary covered various cultural, lexical, and stylistic issues as well.Diplomski rad sadrži pet prijevoda s popratnim komentarima. Izvaci iz triju knjiga prevedeni su s engleskog na hrvatski (The Establishment: And How They Get Away with It autora Owena Jonesa, Making Minds. What's Wrong with Education – And What Should We Do about It autora Paula Kelleyja i Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age autorice Sherry Turkle), dok su izvaci dviju knjiga prevedeni s hrvatskog na engleski (Ekološki otisak: kako je razvoj zgazio održivost autora Dražena Šimleše i Iran u prezentu autora Ivana Đogića). Naglasak u komentarima stavljen je primarno na razne terminološke probleme koji se javljaju u različitim tekstnim vrstama tijekom prijevoda s engleskog na hrvatski i s hrvatskog na engleski. U komentarima se također raspravlja o raznim kulturnim, leksičkim i stilskim prevoditeljskim problemima
