This article focuses on the anonymous illustrator of the Add. 57529 in the British Library in London, which includes a genealogy of deities and an historical compilation. Mostly overlooked by art-historians, this manuscript has rather been the subject of philological studies and is generally considered to be a larger redaction of the lost Genealogiae deorum, attributed to Paolo of Perugia in Boccaccio’s Zibaldone magliabechiano. Based on stylistic comparisons. the author also ascribes the decorated pages of the Divina Commedia Mm. 2.3 (2) of the Cambridge University Library to the Master of the Genealogiae deorum.
