A expansão do agronegócio via Matopiba: as consequências socioambientais da grilagem de terras no Tocantins

The The MATOPIBA region covers the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia, it is an agricultural frontier focused on agribusiness with the production of commodities, mainly soy. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the socio-environmental consequences of land grabbing in MATOPIBA in the region of Tocantins, thus knowing the socio-historical aspects of the region, Identifying the main socio-environmental consequences caused by land grabbing relating to environmental legislation and land regularization with the occurrence of this practice and discuss possible ways of dealing with the socio-environmental impacts generated as a result of this political and economic project. This debate is very important for society to discuss the real interests behind MATOPIBA, showing how it further aggravates the socio-environmental problems in this region, highlighting the land issue that has been suffering fraud caused by land grabbing in order to serve the great capital. On the other hand, social movements such as the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) fight against this agricultural model and against land grabbing with the legal support of the Land Statute, Federal Constitution, Land Regularization, ecosocialism and agroecology management. Using bibliographic research as a methodology and qualitative, descriptive analysis and the historical-dialectical materialist method. MATOPIBA covers a vast area full of particularities because each state has its characteristics, both territorial, cultural and legislative, even though the text has focused especially on the area of the state of Tocantins, the discussion about these and many other issues from this expansion of agribusiness.A região do MATOPIBA abrange os estados do Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí e Bahia, é uma fronteira agrícola focada no agronegócio com produção de commodities, principalmente a soja. Muitos desses produtores utilizam a grilagem de terras para expandir ainda mais suas propriedades, esse método é fraudulento, embola encontra diversas artimanhas legais que beneficia os grileiros. Sendo responsável por graves consequências socioambientais, como desmatamento, contaminação dos solos, rios e ar pelo uso de agrotóxicos, fertilizantes, muita violência e miséria contra os povos tradicionais que usam essas terras para manter a sua subsistência. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa é avaliar as consequências socioambientais da grilagem de terras no MATOPIBA na região do Tocantins, dessa forma conhecer os aspectos sócio-históricos da região, Identificar as principais consequências socioambientais causados pela grilagem relacionando com as legislações ambientais e de regularização fundiária com a ocorrência desta prática e discutir as possíveis formas de enfrentamento dos impactos socioambientais gerados em decorrência deste projeto político e econômico. Este debate é muito importante para a sociedade discutir os reais interesses por trás do MATOPIBA, mostrando como ele agrava ainda mais os problemas socioambientais desta região, destacando a questão fundiária que vem sofrendo fraudes ocasionadas pela grilagem de terras com o intuito de atender ao grande capital. Em contrapartida, movimentos sociais como o Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) lutam contra esse modelo agrícola e contra a grilagem de terras com amparo legal do Estatuto da Terra, Constituição Federal, Regularização Fundiária, do ideário ecossocialismo e manejo da agroecologia. Utilizando a pesquisa bibliográfica como metodologia e análises qualitativas, descritivas e o método materialista histórico-dialético. O MATOPIBA abrange uma área vasta e cheia de particularidades pois cada estado possui suas características, tanto territorial, de cultura e legislativas, mesmo que ainda o texto tenha focado em especial na área do estado do Tocantins, a discussão a respeito dessas e tantas outras problemáticas originárias dessa expansão do agronegóci
