Hyperbolische Erhaltungsgleichungen besitzen die Eigenschaft, dass ihre verallgemeinerten Lösungen selbst für stetige Anfangswertbedingungen Unstetigkeiten aufweisen, so dass sich die Konstruktion geeigneter numerischer Differenzenapproximationen als schwierig erweist. Im Gegensatz zu technisch hochentwickelten und rechenzeitintensiven Differenzenverfahren werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit einfache Differenzenapproximationen höherer Ordnung mit nichtlinearen, diskreten Filteralgorithmen gekoppelt. Die Konstruktion der Filteralgorithmen wird dabei einerseits durch Filterroutinen, die in der Bildverarbeitung zum Wiederherstellen verrauschter Bilder eingesetzt werden, andererseits durch vollständig diskrete Überlegungen motiviert.
