Betonbauwerke müssen während ihrer Nutzungsdauer einen ausreichenden Frostwiderstand aufweisen. Jedoch führten neuerer Laboruntersuchungen zum Frostwiderstand gefügedichter hochfester Beton teilweise zu widersprüchliche Ergebnisse. Um die Zusammenhänge einer Frostschädigung differenziert und zielsicher beschreiben zu können, wurden Korrelationen zwischen der in den Frostversuchen bestimmten Änderung des relativen dynamischen E-Moduls (RDM) und anderer Betoneigenschaften wie Festigkeit oder Porosität durchgeführt. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt war es, den Einfluss des Silikastaubs auf den Frostwiderstand zu klären.
