104 alien plant species are running wild in settlements of East Tyrol (Osttirol). Which of this spe-cies will be able to establish permanently, which will be there only for a short time, will be seen by future. 23 of these neophytic taxa are documented for East Tyrol for the first time. Our results show that ornamental species and horticulture are nowadays the main sources for foreign species (82,7%). Short-lived field and garden weeds as well as bird seeds play only a minor role. With in-creasing sea level the number of the alien warmth indicators decreases; the correlation of this is very close. 64 of the referred species have been discussed with the doctoral theses of KLAUS ADOLPHI (1995) or are at least mentioned by him
