In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden das Laserschmelzen von lunarem Regolith sowie die Eigenschaften der damit herstellbaren Werkstoffe untersucht. Laserschmelzen ist eine etablierte Technologie für die additive Verarbeitung von verschiedenen Werkstoffen und stellt eine Schlüsseltechnologie bei der Exploration des Mondes dar. Mit Hilfe des Laserschmelzens kann der reichlich vorhandene lunare Regolith als Rohstoff für die Errichtung von Infrastruktur sowie die Herstellung von Bauteilen erschlossen werden. Dadurch verringert sich der Transportbedarf von der Erde, was zu einer deutlichen Reduzierung der Kosten von Raumfahrtprojekten auf dem Mond führt.
