El presente ensayo se propone subrayar que la historia del derecho no es solo útil para comprender el derecho actual, sino que es incluso indispensable para guiar y valorar los desarrollos futuros de la vida del derecho: en efecto, algunas novedades de los últimos años pronto se harán evidentes a todos los juristas y traerán, inevitablemente, un cambio radical de la ya consolidada tradición doctrinal y jurisprudencial. Se trata de un cambio ligado a la inteligencia artificial (IA) jurídica, cuya aplicación gradual constituirá una transformación profunda, que podrá ser incluso dramática si se enfrenta sin la necesaria consciencia histórica.The present essay aims to demonstrate that legal history is not only useful for the understanding of current law, but is also indispensable for guiding and con trolling future developments in the life of law: the innovations that are emerging in recent years in the legal world, in fact, will soon become evident to all jurists, inevitably determining a radical change of the consolidated doctrinal and jurisprudential tradition.
