Does Project-Based Learning Infused with Technology Work in a Spanish Heritage Speakers Classroom?

The study examines whether Project-Based Learning infused with technology would be effective in a Spanish Heritage Speakers class in a northern California high school. Project-Based Learning is being implemented school-wide along with a Bring Your Own Device Policy. The researcher implemented Project-Based Learning as a means of instruction encouraging students to bring their own device to class. The class also had access to 36 netbooks. The study is limited to two semesters and 36 tenth grade Spanish heritage speaker students. The results suggest that a constructivist approach to learning has a great impact on student achievement and an increase in student participation
