Motivation in the workplace is the willingness of employees to exert high levels of effort in achieving the organisations goals and objectives. Motivation has been studied by psychologists and organisational experts throughout the ages and was consistently found that motivated employees provide organisations with improved productivity and a competitive edge. Millennials, born between the years of 1980 and 2000, are the biggest cohort since the baby boomer to enter the workplace.
