To master any foreign language, it is crucial that learners should master all four skills including listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. However, students of Russian language have to experience significant difficulties due to credit hour reduction, and outdated learning materials, linguistic differences, the influence of first language as well as the lack of skills such as critical thinking, reasoning and presentation skills. As a result, this research proposes a solution to these problems, which is to utilize visuals in teaching writing and exercises with a view to saving time, providing supplementary teaching materials and making the lessons more lively and inspiring
