Research on the Composition of Medical Glass Aggregates for Concrete Production

This article examines the change in compressive strength of concrete using conventional macadam aggregate and medical glass aggregate. Three mixtures for each concrete class B15 and B20 have been used in this research for comparison by replacing the gravel content with 0% glass, 50% glass and 100% glass. Research has shown that the use of glass as partly or complete replacement of gravel is feasible in terms of compressive strength. Furthermore, it helps to treat the solid wastes in local health facilities and creates a practical building product. In addition, the results show that the compressive strength of glass concrete depends greatly on the strength of the glass material
