Concrete is a popular building material in construction and is normally made from cement, coarse aggregate (crushed rock, gravel), fine aggregate (natural sand), water and admixtures. In Vietnam, river sand is commonly used as fine aggregate to make concrete. Due to the development needs of society, river sand is being over - exploited to serve construction activities, affecting the environment and increasing construction costs. Therefore, there should be another material such as sea sand and seawater that can replace river sand, fresh water to make concrete.
