This study aims to analyze the relationship between politeness and face theory. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method to explain the relationship between politeness and face theory. The theory of Brown and Levinson is used to describe and explain face theory while Leech's Politeness Principle is used for politeness theory. The results of this study showed that politeness is very important, theory and concepts have been broadly developed by experts, especially on how to be polite as well as to show solidarity to other people.
