Aluminium Matrix Composites (AMC's) are widely used in aerospace, automotive, structural and marine applications due to their high strength to weight ratio, corrosion resistance. In AMC one of constituent is aluminium or its alloy which forms a network called as matrix phase and other constituent is embedded in matrix made of harder material generally ceramic or non metallic material called as reinforcement.
