Upaya Meningkatkan Keaktifan dan Prestasi Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas Vii/d SMP N 1 Kretek Bantul dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Group Investigation

The purpose of this research was to improve student’s activity and mathematics achievement students of class VII D SMP N 1 Kretek Bantul with cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI) model. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class VII D which is 28 students. Techniques of data collection in this research was done by using observation, tests, and documentation. Result of this research showed an increase in student’s activity and mathematics achievement of students in the learning process. This is indicated by an increase in percentage of students liveliness on the first cycle is 48,21% with middle classification, while on the second cycle increased to 70,09% with a high classification. Mathematics achievement also increased in each compared with the student first value. The percentage of students who have KKM also increased the pre-cycle at a 3,57% increased to 53,57% in the first cycle, the second cycle again increased to 78,57%
