Fabrication of Versatile Grinding Machines Using Round Abrasive Belts

In the industrialization and modernization of the country, mechanical engineering plays an important role; however, the traditional mechanics is no longer suitable to the current situation in our country. In mechanical engineering, grinding is one of the most important machining processes that make use of grinding microparticles to cut off a thin layer from a surface being processed, thereby creating a smooth surface through abrasion. Traditional grinding machines such as bench grinders, hand wheel grinders operate with poor safety, high cost and limited functionality. Therefore, an abrasive belt grinding machine is a solution to overcome the above limitations. The core objective of this project is to fabricate a versatile round abrasive grinding machine device with minimal cost, high effectiveness which can be used flexibly via the use of abrasive round belts and the adjustment of grinding directions
