Grafting of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone onto poly|(trifluoroethoxy)phosphazenel and poly |bis (phenoxy)phosphazenel | films was carried out by direct irradiation at 0.5 Gy/s and 20\ub0C, using different monomer/methanol mixtures. The grafting reaction kinetics was followed. The improvement of biocompatibility produced by grafting N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone onto the two polyphosphazenes was evaluated by means of \u201cin vivo\u201d tests
