Applying Project-based Learning on English for Business 3 at Hoa Lu University

At present, universities in Vietnam have applied the form of credit training, which requires instructors and students to use appropriate teaching and learning methods. One of the interesting and effective approaches adopted in recent years is the Project –based learning (PBL). This is a learner-centered teaching way, which encourages self-reliance from the learner himself. The article presents an overview of the theoretical background of the project–based learning and the process of conducting research, and the effectiveness achieved in an ESP class at Hoa Lu University. Pedagogical experiments contribute to the assertion that PBL is particularly effective in credit training. The author also confidently puts forward some suggestions to help lecturers effectively apply PBL and learners better be aware of this method
