There have been many studies on the application of PMSM control methods; however, the motor has complicated non-linear characteristics so that it is difficult to control it, especially when there are changes in parameters of the motor. Intelligent control techniques such as fuzzy logic have been developed and applied to improving the quality of motors speed control. There are many comparative studies between fuzzy logic and classical PI controller and all of these studies come to a conclusion that it is better to use fuzzy logic controller.
