This paper introduces the model of automatic production lines using Profinet connection between Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This model includes four commonly used stations in industrial production lines which are - products assortment station, components attachment station, assembly station, and products storage station. Each station is controlled by a Siemens PLC S7-1214 DC/DC/DC. These stations are directly communicated to each other via Profinet through 2 Ethernet switches CSM 1227 using “star topology”. The PLCs are programmed in TIA Portal software using Function Block Diagram (FBD), Ladder Logic Diagram (LAD), and Structure Control Language (SCL) languages.
