In this essay, an attempt is made to survey the impact of the most recent technological achievements on everyday life. On the one hand, we seem to be witnessing a decrease in the critical spirit of which the feeling of general plausibility that accompanies technological developments is a sign; on the other hand, we cannot fail to note how redefinitions, often ideologically oriented, of the components of the human are in fact imposing themselves, through which the transhumanist project seems to be making its way.
