Compliment Expression By Stray Kids’ Fans On Harper’s Bazaar Youtube Comment

This study discusses compliment by Stray Kids' fans found on the Harper's Bazaar YouTube channel. The aims of this study are to classify topics of compliment found on the comments of the Harper's Bazaar YouTube channel and to investigate the compliment strategies found on the comments of the Harper's Bazaar YouTube channel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach. The data sources were taken from Harper Bazaar YouTube channel and several previous article which have been selected according to the topic discussed. The research data collection uses document analysis techniques which are carried out through four stages: data collection, data condensation, data display and conclusions. The researcher found the result that there are five topics of compliment which identified as skill, appearance, personality, career, and health. Then, compliment strategies used are explicit compliment and implicit compliment which the most dominated from the entire data. As an outcome of these findings, the more various compliment is, the more insightful the person from understanding about it
