This study aims to (1) describe the concept of hope contained in the novel Negeri 5 Menara, (2) describe the concept of motivation in the novel Negeri 5 Menara. The research used descriptive qualitative. (3) Describe the relevance of the novel Negeri 5 Menara in learning literature in schools. The data of this research are sentences and paragraphs that contain hope and motivation in the novel Negeri 5 Menara. The data source is Novel Negeri 5 Menara. Data collection techniques using library techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate (1) Analysis of the building blocks of literature, the theme in the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi is hope, passion and struggle. (2) The value of motivation in the novel Negeri 5 Menara includes external motivation and internal motivation. External motivation is motivation that grows based on encouragement from other people. Internal motivation is motivation that grows from oneself. (3) Novel Negeri 5 Menara has a standard of eligibility as a literature learning material in schools because it is in accordance with the potential of students in learning literature. This is because the novel Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi contains motivations that students can emulate
