Ultrasonic-assisted soldering welding is widely applied in joining tough materials using the soft joint technology such as copper-aluminium, aluminium-glass wires or plates. Under the impact of ultrasonic vibration, the oxide layer on the surfaces of the materials are eroded by cavitation, thus forming ultrasonic soldering joints. This article presents a method for designing the ultrasonic vibration horn using high strength chromium steel alloy. The ultrasonic horn operates with its frequency of 28 kHz and its length equal to a multiple of a half-wavelength by means of the Abaqus software.
