This paper introduces the designs of a new DC/DC converter meeting the variation of output power of a PV system. This DC/DC converter consists of many DC/DC converters with small capacity; these small DC/DC converters are connected together among a fore-given rule to obtain a DC/DC converter with high capacity. By isolating some of small DC/DC converters and firing angle adjustment, input and output voltage rating of this new DC/DC converter can meet the desired operation range. This research also introduces a 200W DC/DC converter for the PEPV-48-200 PV panel whose measurements have been verified. The testing results indicate that this DC/DC converter has stable operation, improved efficiency, and hence, it can be applied into practice
