We consider the class of functional differential equations. d/dt D (t, xt) = f (t, xt) and we show, under certain conditions on D and f, existence, uniqueness and continuous<kmendence of the solutions. We complete this work with Melvin)s results for another class of neutral functional differential equations. The basic tools used here are Sadoviskii Fixed Point Theorem and & theorem on continuity of fixed points of condensing maps due to Hale
