Brahiterapija je oblik radioterapijskog liječenja onkoloških pacijenata u kojem se zatvoreni radioaktivni izvor ionizirajućeg zračenja uvodi u neposrednu blizinu ili direktno u tumorski volumen s ciljem njegovog uništavanja. U ovom radu naglasak je na brahiterapiji velike brzine doze provođene metodom daljinski upravljanog naknadnog uvođenja izvora iridija; 192Ir.
