Specialized support for adolescents and young adults with experience of upbringing in children's homes in the Czech Republic

Present thesis is focused on specialized support, which is provided in the Czech Republic to adolescents and young adults who have experience with upbringing in a children's home. The theoretical part of the thesis firstly describes the system of alternative care in the Czech Republic, covers the circumstances of removing children from their families and describes the facilities of children's homes. The next part depicts the specifics and needs of adolescents and young adults who have experience with upbringing in a children's home. With regard to the specifics of the target group, the thesis continues with a list of approaches, methods and techniques that can be used in working with clients. The empirical part aims to find out what forms of support are available to the target group in the Czech Republic. Through a quantitative survey, the research found out which entities provide support and what specific form this support takes. The research was preceded by a pilot survey, which addressed children's homes in the Czech Republic. The children's home questionnaire asked whether the facilities cooperated with organizations that provide support to the target group and what are the eventual organizations. Based on further research, the list of organizations was supplemented and represented a research...Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na specializovanou podporu, která je v ČR poskytována adolescentům a mladým dospělým, kteří mají zkušenost s výchovou v dětském domově. Teoretická část práce nejprve popisuje systém náhradní výchovné péče v ČR, přibližuje okolnosti odebrání dětí z jejich rodin a popisuje zařízení dětských domovů. Další část se věnuje popisu specifik a potřeb adolescentů a mladých dospělých, kteří mají zkušenost s výchovou v dětském domově. S ohledem na specifika cílové skupiny pak práce pokračuje výčtem přístupů, metod a technik, které lze v práci s klienty využít. Praktická část si dává za cíl zjistit, jaké formy podpory jsou v ČR cílové skupině dostupné. Výzkum prostřednictvím kvantitativního šetření zjišťoval, jaké subjekty podporu poskytují a jakou konkrétní podobu tato podpora má. Výzkumu předcházelo pilotní šetření, v rámci kterého byly osloveny dětské domovy v ČR. Dotazník pro dětské domovy zjišťoval, zdali zařízení spolupracují s organizacemi, které poskytují cílové skupině podporu, a o jaké organizace se případně jedná. Na základě další rešerše byl seznam organizací doplněn a představoval výzkumný soubor 66 subjektů. S těmito organizacemi byl následně realizován samotný výzkum prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření.
