The development of new technologies has demanded the manufacturing of components with increasingly smaller dimensions and, to meet this demand, micromilling has been used. This process can be applied to different materials, including tool steels. ABNT H13 tool steel is commonly used in molds and dies for hot work. Given this scenario, the micromilling of H13 tool steel has been the object of study of different works, in order to analyze the phenomena involved and the quality of the process. However, there are still few researches on the influence of the tool in micromilling, since micromills directly impact the quality of the manufactured part as well as manufacturing costs.
