ABSTRACT : Objective: The aim of this study is to describe how socioeconomic factors such as mother’s educational level and work occupation influenced breastfeeding during the COVID-19 outbreak. Methods: Data regarding sociodemographic variables of mothers and breastfeeding practices was gathered in the Mother and Child COVID-19 (MOACC 19) cohort carried out in the HUMV hospital. Information about their breastfeeding habits was updated at 6 and 12 months after birth. Mothers were classified according to their educational level, work status and work occupation and then the association of this variable with breastfeeding initiation and maintenance was analysed.
