The speeding pace of globalization is transforming brands and consumers relationships through the offshoring of manufacturing of the former’s products and the increasing exposure of the latter to multicultural markets. This thesis objective is to provide a multicultural perspective of brand communities that goes beyond the distinction between local, national or international to integrate the brand and community cultures with their idiosyncrasies as the main frame of reference.
