Background: allergic diseases such as food allergy, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and eczema, are important public health problems which have a major effect on the health of millions of children worldwide. Allergies are triggered by a combination of factors that may include: genetic predisposition, environmental factors and lifestyle changes that include eating habits. Hence the objective of our study was to assess the link between eating habits and the occurrence of allergic diseases symptoms in children during the last 12 months period and to compare the variation in rate of recurrence of allergic diseases between two phases of the ISAAC in Marseille (ISAAC II and ISAAC III).
