Gliomas are the most common and lethal adult primary brain tumors. Their complex heterogeneity is evidenced by numerous genomic studies showing distinct molecular entities in glioma. P21-activated-kinases (PAK) are serine threonine kinases involved in multiple signal transduction pathways as downstream effectors of Rac and Cdc42. They regulate several key cancer-relevant pathways like cell division and movement.
