My thesis is based on three axes: to develop a biophysical model, to propose a simulation tool, and exploit the model in simulation.We develop a biophysical model of the neuronal structure involved in Parkinson's disease, the basal ganglia. We simulate physiologically realistic neurons using the Hodgkin-Huxley formalism to incorporate specific ion channels present in different populations of GB neurons, including arkipallidal and proptotypic GPe, as well as dopaminergic D1 and D2 neurons in the striatum, whose cellular properties and connectivity appear to be prominent factors in the oscillatory behavior of the network.
