Biological tissues are materials exhibiting both ultra-flexible and hyper-elastic behaviors. The creation of synthetic materials mimicking their mechanical properties is today a real challenge. In fact, due to a limit threshold of modulus of elasticity created by the entanglement of chains, the use of simple linear polymers does not make it possible to obtain such properties. This is why a strategy aimed at making materials from bottlebrush copolymers has been developed. These materials having mechanical behaviors similar to those of biological tissues, were obtained by self-assembly of ABA block copolymers.
