This thesis is a series of poems and short pieces of prose that carry a common theme of a relationship between a young child and their older self in their twenties. This will be based off of my own young and current selves as I find myself soon to be graduating and emerging into adulthood. I have been very inspired by the work of Natalie Diaz, Ocean Vuong, Carmen Maria Machado, and other writers whose work centers on themes of queerness, family, bodies, and home.
