Add to ORKGGranted sabbatical leave for the Fall and Spring semesters 1991-1992, I present here a summary of activities undertaken during my leave. The three principal elements of my proposal were: 1. To visit and photograph heavy industrial sites in ·America. This visual research fuels my studio work. 2. To develop an advanced watercolor painting course and to revise the existing watercolor course. 3. To spend sustained time in the studio practicing my craft as an artist. Each of these elements has been accomplished in as thorough a way as time and expense permitted. A summary and discussion of activities related to each element is presented below, and a portfolio of slides illustrates the results of these activities taken together
