International audienceThe ESO Distant Cluster Survey (EDisCS) is a project to investigate cluster substructure galaxy morphology gravitational lensing star formation histories and stellar populations as a function of redshift and cluster environment of 20 candidate galaxy clusters taken from the Las Campanas Distant Cluster Survey (LCDCS) for the redshift range z~0.5-0.8. This will provide the first such comprehensive and homogenous study of galaxy clusters at a redshift as high as 0.8 and superior information at lower redshift
