International audienceAbstract This paper concentrates on the way vase painters have sometimes associated with objects depicted inscriptions naming these objects. By doing so they do not intend to explain the picture, but to catch the eye and draw attention on elements which have a strong narrative or symbolic value.Este artículo estudia la forma que los pintores de jarrones a veces asociaron a los objetos representados inscripciones que los nombran.
