Since the global financial crisis of 2008, the French household debt structure has experienced fluctuations: whether in terms of total outstanding debt or in terms of the number of applications at the Household debt Commission. Public policies want to prevent over-indebtedness and, therefore, seek to identify a population in “financial fragility.” In this thesis, we propose an approach to complete these identification criteria by adding the “subjective” criteria (e.g. the feeling about budgetary imbalance) to the “objective” criteria (e.g. the payment or repayment incidents and the low “reste-à-vivre”).
