The work aims to contribute to a better understanding and modeling of the shear behaviour of RC beams strengthened with FRP sheets and shows the first results of an experimental program carried out, at the University of Padova, on RC beams with different amounts of transverse steel reinforcement and different amounts of FRP shear strengthening. The aim of the experimental program is to understand the complex shear failure mechanisms of RC beams with web reinforcement and FRP sheets and in particular the interaction between external strengthening and internal shear reinforcement
