Implications of Using Literacy Strategies to Improve Reading Comprehension

The effectiveness of literacy strategies in improving reading comprehension was investigated. The study focused on three different literacy strategies that occurred before, during, and after reading. A triangulation of data was used to determine the results of the study. Data was collected through control and experimental group quizzes, classroom discussions, personal observations, and student reflections. The study indicates that implementing literacy strategies has a positive influence on reading comprehension.
