After decades of operation in nuclear power plants, Once-Through Steam Generators (OTSGs) were recently proposed for nuclear fusion applications. In particular, they are supposed to be installed in the primary cooling systems of the European Union Demonstration fusion power plant (EU-DEMO). One of the key reactor components is the Breeding blanket (BB). Among the BB concepts that are currently under study, Water-Cooled Lithium-Lead (WCLL) option was considered for this work.
