The Italian Institute for the Middle and the Far East (ISMEO), which was founded in 1933, had the purpose of promoting and developing cultural relations between Italy and the countries of the Middle and the Far East. Preservative and conservative operations in Iran are always grateful for Italian conservatives, especially when some professional members of ISMEO have come to Iran since 1959.
