In this article, we present a fully analytical model for the evaluation of the electromagnetic (EM) field scattered from a composite target in a generic bistatic configuration. The scenario comprises a rectangular parallelepiped target with smooth dielectric faces lying over a rough background surface, modeled as a stochastic process. The single- and multiple-bounce scattering contributions arising from the target, the rough background, and their interactions have been derived under the Kirchhoff approximation (KA)-geometrical optics (GO) solution.
